About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, automation, and optimization of our multi-cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can architect scalable platforms, enhance deployment pipelines, improve observability, and enforce best practices across engineering teams. You will work across AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and Oracle Cloud (OCI), ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence.  

 

Responsibilities 

    Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture
    • Design, operate, and optimize infrastructure across AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and OCI.
    • Architect scalable, secure, multi-region environments using VPC/VNet, load balancers, routing, NAT, VPN, Transit Gateway/VCN Peering.
    • Lead HA/DR architecture planning and implementation.
    Containers & Kubernetes
    • Manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters (self-hosted and managed: EKS, AKS, ACK, OKE).
    • Implement and optimize Kubernetes components: ingress, service mesh, PV/PVC, storage classes, RBAC, Network Policies, autoscaling, Helm, kustomize, operators.
    • Maintain Docker-based development and runtime environments, including secure image pipelines.
    CI/CD, GitOps & Automation
    • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
    • Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for automated deployments and environment synchronization.
    • Integrate DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube and Trivy into delivery pipelines.
    Infrastructure as Code & Configuration Management
    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (modules, state management, workspaces).
    • Use Ansible for provisioning, configuration automation, and environment standardization.
    Monitoring, Logging & Observability
    • Build observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/OpenSearch, and Alertmanager.
    • Utilize cloud-native monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Alibaba/OCI monitoring).
    • Develop SLO/SLI dashboards and lead production issue troubleshooting.
    Scripting & Automation
    • Automate infrastructure operations using Python and Bash.
    • Develop scripts for deployments, health checks, cluster operations, and scaling.
    Security, Compliance & Governance
    • Manage IAM, RBAC, TLS/SSL, Vault, cloud secret managers, and certificate automation.
    • Implement security scanning, code quality checks, and infrastructure hardening.
    • Support compliance and DevSecOps integration across environments.
    Databases & Storage
    • Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud-managed RDS services.
    • Automate database backup/restore workflows and ensure HA operations.
    Leadership
    • Lead and mentor DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and ownership.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to define DevOps standards and best practices.
    • Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, pipelines, and security.

 

  Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of DevOps/SRE or infrastructure experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, OCI).
  • Strong Kubernetes expertise at production scale.
  • Deep experience with Terraform, Docker, CI/CD platforms, and observability tools.
  • Strong understanding of security, identity management, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Required Certifications :

  • The candidate should at least have two certifications on Kubernetes CKA + CKAD.
  • Optionally and great if he/she also has other certifications on any of cloud providers (GCP, Alibaba, etc).
